Art Classes in Bournemouth

Frank Bayes lives and works in Dorset, and has been Teaching Art Classes and Life Drawing in Bournemouth for 8 years. Obtaining a First Class Honours Degree in 2000 at Plymouth College of Art and Design, and a Teaching Certificate, Frank gets an enormous amount of satisfaction in seeing his students make progress

The Art Classes take place at the Beaufort Community Centre Beaufort Road Southbourne Bournemouth BH6 5LB

All the Classes cater for absolute beginners up to those with Art College experience. Individual tuition is always given relevant to the work of the student in question. The sessions are very relaxed, with no pressure to "keep up" with the others, as all students are encouraged to follow their own interests.

We have no Tests, Exams or Certificates, just constant help and encouragement!

Mediums used, include pencil, coloured pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolour, water based oils, acrylic and gouache.

Frank believes that Drawing is the basis of every type of Art, and gives a great deal of attention to developing the observational skills of the students, in order that they may learn to "see with the Artist's eye".

The Life Drawing Classes have a choice of five professional artist's models who attend, where a different topic of study is chosen every week.
